What does a successful driver mean to you? For some people, the more technologically advanced a driver is the more effective and high-performing it is. This is probably what the Ping company was going for when they produced the Ping Rapture V2. These are one of the most high-priced drivers in the market and their innovative details are the reason why.

Included With the Ping Rapture is a composite web crown that includes a portion of titanium. This does not mean that the entire driver is titanium. Not being totally titanium is a positive. This removes any additional weight in the head and adds 20 grams of discretionary weight. The weight is shifted to the sides and back so that the moment of inertia is higher and the launch angle is higher. For some, this compromises the ability to achieve greater distances but it really depends on the skill level of the player.

This also gives the driver a more solid sound. Aside from weighting, the V2 also has a hotter face with variable thickness. You not only get advanced technology, but also traditional club head shaping.

The Rapture currently has a number of fans, but those who have had the experience with the Ping G5 are not all ready to switch drivers. The main reason is that the Rapture does not offer that much more than the G5 when it comes to technology. However, the Rapture is more forgiving and does deliver a bit more distance. In addition, the stock Aldila VS Proto shaft in the Rapture V2 is slightly better than the G5.

While the Rapture ranks well when it is compared to competitor models from other companies, it is still one of the more pricey ones. If price is not an issue, then the Rapture will perform to its highest potential.

Read This Guide Before You Buy Your First Set Of Golf Clubs

Buying your first set of golf clubs can seem daunting with all the choices out there. To take away some of the confusion I have listed some things for you to keep in mind before getting your first set of golf clubs.

Be Clear About Your Golf Goals. If you identify realistic goals before you set out to buy, it will make the process of buying clubs a lot easier. If you are deeply committed to golf and plan to play every day, then obviously you will want to spend more time, money and effort on a set of clubs than if you only intend to play twice a year with your brother-in-law.

You should Assess Your Levels of Dedication and Interest. By honestly assessing your dedication to golf, you can more easily determine how much to spend, and on what quality of clubs. How much will you be practicing? Will you be willing to take lessons? If you aren't willing to go that far, then you're probably better off going with a cheaper set of clubs. If you plan to practice regularly, and take lessons, then you may want something more expensive.

New or Used Clubs? Used clubs are probably a good choice if you aren't sure about your commitment or have a history of taking up hobbies and losing interest in them after a short time. They will be cheaper than new clubs and they can be replaced more easily later.

Shaft Options - The Basics. The two differences in golf shafts that beginners should keep in mind are shaft composition (steel or graphite) and shaft flex (the amount of bend in the shaft during your swing). Steel is sturdier and cheaper, but graphite is lighter, so it will generate more swing speed. Women and older players will benefit most from graphite shafts that have a softer flex. Stronger, younger men may go with regular or stiffer shafts. Remember that many teaching say too many golfers use shafts with too much stiffness. Getting a Clubfitting. If you're getting a new set of clubs, a clubfitting is an option. A clubfitting, lasting about half an hour, is an option offered by many teaching pros. If you do not want that, at least getting a measurement in a pro shop will ensure that the clubs you choose are well-suited to your body. If you are a 5-foot-10 male, then the standard clubs straight off the rack will fit you. You might want to get fitted if that description doesn't fit you.

Easier Golf with the Right Clubs. Of course, nothing will take the place of a good swing, but as a novice golfer you can make it easier on yourself by choosing clubs that are designed specifically for higher-handicappers. Known as "game improvement clubs". You should choose irons that are cavity-backed and perimeter-weighted. Investigate "hybrid" sets, in which utility clubs replace the long irons - that is, the 3-, 4- and occasionally 5-irons. Go for more loft (i.e. 12 degrees), not less, when choosing a driver. Don't pay attention to what kind of clubs the Tour players use.

Seek Advice, Ask Questions. If you have friends who play, ask them for advice. Ask at a pro shop or golf pro for recommendations. Get some idea of what you are really looking for. When you've done all this, and you're ready to buy, remember to shop around. Range and price will always differ from one outlet to another, whether you're shopping at pro shops, department stores, or online. Just keep in mind your price range and only buy clubs within that range.

Golf club selection is vital to getting out on the green and playing a good round of golf. However, selecting your golf clubs will vary depending on your level of golf expertise; here, we break down how to select golf clubs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced golfers. For beginners, buying shorter clubs will maximize your potential to have more precise club-to-ball contact. Locate a driver with a bit less loft (degree of the angle at which the face of the club lies relative to a perfectly vertical level). When your deciding on a driver, it is important to consider your swing speed. Every driver will affect your swing speed in a different way.

Club selection will impact every facet of your game and is one of the most important decisions you will make. So, take some time to figure out your level of playing skill, and then choose your golf clubs accordingly. When it comes to learning about golfing equipment for beginners, it is a subject sometimes greatly overlooked, and even more experienced golfers have been known to purchase the wrong equipment.

There are of course those lengthy books on how to swing, practicing tips, and how to train to be a good golfer, and you will find some of the best known sports stars endorsing some great products, making them even more desirable.

All of the big, brand name sports equipment manufacturers spend so much money advertising and hoping that customers will realize who has the best golf gear but as a new golfer how much do you need to spend?

Using the driver that Tiger Woods does, will not enable you to use it to your best ability and you are best suited for a driver that matches your playing style. Similarly, for golf balls and other beginner's golf equipment, it is the same case.

The first thing on your shopping list will of course be a good set of golf clubs and a bag. The trick here is to understand that professionally endorsed products are not all the same and you need to find a set of clubs that feels good for you. It will probably take at least 6 months for you to find your style any way so save yourself some money here.

Steel shafted clubs are far more durable than either graphite or carbon fiber, and they are stronger too, but they are also heavier to use and carry around. They also have better accuracy and control as compared to graphite shafted clubs.

They also have a far lower level of twisting, but do not have the same effective range as graphite shafted golf clubs. You will require more power and a faster swing to make your golf balls go an extra distance.

Graphite shafted clubs are easier to swing as they vibrate less with the impact to the ball. Graphite shafted clubs are better suited for women and senior golfers who have problems generating enough swing speed to manage a steel shafted golf club properly.

Choosing the right shaft flex is an important consideration too as this will be dependent on your swing style and speed. When your are just starting on your golfing journey, developing accuracy is the most important thing so ask your golf tutor what stiffness will best suit your current style.

Now that you are able to see beyond the advertising and endorsements, you are in a far better position to make a sensible purchasing decision when you buy your next set of clubs.

Sure, anyone can walk into a sporting goods store and buy a set of golf clubs.  Golfers who want the clubs that work according to their physical build and swing capabilities will seek out golf club makers to put together a set of clubs custom made for them. When business is bad, in the winter for instance, many golf club makers will pass their time repairing clubs for customers or putting new grips on shafts they may have previously made. The goal of putting couldn't be simpler: put the golf ball in the hole. Yet nothing quite shows the gap between 'simple' and 'easy' like putting. A proper setup is fundamental to of proper putting technique. Set up correctly, and the correct putting stroke will be more achievable. A four ball blade putter may enable you to line up the head correctly.

An optimal putt strokes an arc instead of a straight line. A smooth arc is natural and intuitive. Practice setting up to address the golf ball properly until it becomes instinctive and unconscious instead of mechanical, your feel and distance control will then get better and more consistent. You will increase your chances of making more putts and minimize the odds of three-putts.

The setup is fundamental to golf: get it right and you'll improve the likelihood of hitting the golf ball squarely. You'll also play more instinctively. Five lines of address comprise the building blocks of a correct setup. A four ball blade putter can enable you to notice if your setup is correct. The five lines will guide your setup to a correct one and make it so that you can be fitted with the right length of shaft. The five lines at address are:

1: The shaft and your forearms are in line. Your forearms and the shaft ought to be on the same plane. This is will allow your arms and the shaft to move in unison when you stroke. Grip the handle of your four ball blade putter through the palms instead of the fingers, that'll steer you toward proper alignment.

2: Your hands must be directly under the shoulder line. Bow forward from your hips and face the ground with your upper body. Your hands will then naturally sit under the shoulder line, free and clear of the body. You will want to have your elbows bent slightly, and no tension at all in your hands or arms.

3. Your eyes should settle over the ball. You've settled into your bowed forward stance. Now, lock let your eyes come to rest over the golf ball. It'll be easier to see the line if your eyes are lined up there or just inside the target line. If you have problems aligning correctly, consider a four ball blade putter. The unique alignment system will help you achieve correct alignment and takeaway.

4. Balance your weight on the middle of your feet. Once your eyes are over the ball, set up your feet at the proper distance from the ball. Can you feel your weight in the middle of your feet? If you're too close, your weight will settle on your heels, whereas if you're too far away, your weight will balance on your toes.

5. Align the shaft 90 degrees to the ground. You will be better off if you don't lean the four ball blade putter shaft forward or backward at address. Want to play better golf? Here are 5 very easy tips you can do now to play better golf -

1. Practice swinging with your eyes closed. By swinging with your eyes closed, you can feel the weight of the club and sense its speed gradually accelerating from the top of your swing all the way through to a controlled finish. Once you've mastered that, re-create the swing on the course. If successful, you'll see your consistency improve and your bad shots diminish.

2. Eat right for fat loss and mental energy. You won't get tired on the course. For energy try snacking on healthy foods at various points in the day - heck even Tiger Woods snack (but not on junk food).

3. Practice long putts - This is one of the best drills to improve your putting touch, putt balls to the edge of the putting green. Get about 5 balls and start about 30 feet away from the fringe and try to putt the balls as close to the fringe as possible. During this drill don't worry about direction, only speed. Keep doing this and vary the distance from the fringe.

4. Your Stance - The important point to remember with the stance is to keep your weight balanced and your feet position getting wider up to shoulder width as the club you are using gets longer. So for the driver you will want the most stability thus a wider stance with your legs shoulder width apart is ideal. Also the ball position should start at the center of your stance for a wedge and move up to the heel of your left foot for the driver.

5. Sidespin occurs when the club-face is not aligned perpendicularly to the plane of swing. At the end of a swing, the weight has shifted almost entirely to the left foot, the body is fully turned to the left and the hands are above the left shoulder with the club hanging down over the players' back. Standing over the ball for too long a time and wondering whether you're going to swing the club correctly can easily result in a skewed shot, or completely missing the ball.

The tips above are simple but are often overlooked - because there are so simple. If you keep it simple - your game will be much more effective and consistent. At the end of the day, consistent practice is the key.
