5 Easy Tips to Play Better Golf
Our guest author Mr. Zing Zansti provides some great tips on helping you to learn to play better golf as well as the importance of eating right and your health.
Want to play better golf? Here are 5 very easy tips you can do now to play better golf -
1. Practice swinging with your eyes closed. By swinging with your eyes closed, you can feel the weight of the club and sense its speed gradually accelerating from the top of your swing all the way through to a controlled finish. Once you've mastered that, re-create the swing on the course. If successful, you'll see your consistency improve and your bad shots diminish.
2. Eat right for fat loss and mental energy. You won't get tired on the course. For energy try snacking on healthy foods at various points in the day - heck even Tiger Woods snack (but not on junk food).
3. Practice long putts - This is one of the best drills to improve your putting touch, putt balls to the edge of the putting green. Get about 5 balls and start about 30 feet away from the fringe and try to putt the balls as close to the fringe as possible. During this drill don't worry about direction, only speed. Keep doing this and vary the distance from the fringe.
4. Your Stance - The important point to remember with the stance is to keep your weight balanced and your feet position getting wider up to shoulder width as the club you are using gets longer. So for the driver you will want the most stability thus a wider stance with your legs shoulder width apart is ideal. Also the ball position should start at the center of your stance for a wedge and move up to the heel of your left foot for the driver.
5. Sidespin occurs when the club-face is not aligned perpendicularly to the plane of swing. At the end of a swing, the weight has shifted almost entirely to the left foot, the body is fully turned to the left and the hands are above the left shoulder with the club hanging down over the players' back. Standing over the ball for too long a time and wondering whether you're going to swing the club correctly can easily result in a skewed shot, or completely missing the ball.
The tips above are simple but are often overlooked - because there are so simple. If you keep it simple - your game will be much more effective and consistent. At the end of the day, consistent practice is the key.

Golf Bags what are the Three Types?
Need a golf bag? Here is a little information that will help you understand what the three types of golf bags are. It will also help you make a good selection before you spend your money.
Three Types of Bags to Select From Are
The biggest of the three is the Staff. A Golf Bag of this type will hold fourteen golf clubs. It has pockets for everything you could ever need. But remember this it’s heavy not to mention all the things you put in it are heavy. So you will require a golf cart or caddy to drag this behemoth around with you on your nine holes. Golf Bags like this most of the time are made of leather and are a little costly.
The next option is the Cart. You will find it smaller than the Staff, and has not as much storage space. It is called a Cart because it is made to fit on the carts that are used to carry them around.
The third option is the small bag called a Carry. This is the lightest and the smallest of the three golf bag types. You will find them made of a number of light materials like nylon and different fabrics to keep the weight down. This is the type of golf bag you need if you plan to carry your bag on you nine holes. It will only have space for a few golf clubs, balls and tees and no room for anything else.
Now you can make your selection based on how you plan to play most of your golf games. Will you always have a caddy or cart or do you plan to carry as this will make a big difference to you.

Choose the Right Set of Golf Clubs
Here are a few things to help you in making your selection. Things that will make some difference to you selection are. What is you height and your flexibility will make some difference on your selection. The weight of the clubs not to mention the size will have some impact.
Ladies golf clubs are different the clubs used by men by weight and length. Most of the time ladies are just smaller and shorter needing a lighter shorter club.
Choose the Right Golf Bag
Now you have clubs some things you will need to think about will be. Do you plan to carry your bag of clubs around with you on your game? Or will you always be using a golf-cart to carry you around the course. If you will need to carry your clubs you are going to want a lighter bag. They come in many different sizes and weights depending on your needs.
Importance of a Proper Grip
The next area of attention after correcting your posture and stance should be your grip. Without a proper grip you will not have a proper follow through on your golf swing.
Holding the Club with a Proper Grip
Slight changes in your grip will mess up the back swing or keep you from executing a smooth back swing. Just a little overextending the grip will mean a poor backhand.
A Simple Method Used to Correct
Some will use this technique to correct some of the problem. Do not raze the club from the ground just pull it back a little from the ball first. One very common mistake in pulling and lifting at the same time which causes and off-center hit. Small corrections like these will improve your game and you confidence quickly. So again pull the club back before your lift on the set up for swing first.
